Anna Moonflower….
My little baby Anna was born on a day this singular magnificent flower bloomed on . I had just heard the good news of her arrival on my cell and was pulling into the driveway.
On the garden fence was this beautiful flower the size of a dinner plate. It is for this reason that I occasionally call her my Anna Moonflower..
I miss you little Anna Moon Flower. I can’t wait to see you again so we can enjoy a bowl of cheesy pasta together.
Oh how wish I could be your full time Mimi too!

| Wonder Pets! is an exciting new Nick Jr. show for preschoolers. Each episode follows the adventures of three classroom pets–Linny the Guinea Pig, Ming-Ming Duckling, and Turtle Tuck–who travel around the globe helping to rescue animals who need their help.Like real preschoolers, these three unlikely heroes don’t have any actual super powers, but by working together they can conquer any obstacle: “What’s gonna work? Teamwork!”
The show features photo-puppetry animation–an animation style created specifically for this series–which allows the animators to manipulate photos of real animals. The result is striking, memorable, and truly unique. Each episode is like a mini-opera with dialog often sung to an original score by some of Broadway’s top composers. And each episode encourages teamwork, empathy, problem-solving skills, and an appreciation of music and humor. |

This is a picture of Rocky. Rocky fell from his home, a nest in a big tree. He was about to be attacked by a huge cat when Popa rescued him. Marta was amazed to see this tiny helpless little guy.
We called our local animal rescue person, a very nice woman who lives down the road . Jean is an older woman who has been taking in local injured wildlife for many years. A salty woman who doesn’t hide her contempt for some of the newer wealth that has taken over our seaside community. She even name a very noisy stray cat Marsha after a very prominent local political woman. Jean has an old blind Deer that she cares for. She has a goat many chickens and each day someone stops by to drop off a Bird or a baby Duck or in our case a baby Squirrel we named Rocky.
Yesterday I called and Rocky is eating (from a small bottle) and it seems that he will grow into a big strong adult. Perhaps he will move back down to our place and eat some of the thousands of acorns that are all over our grass.
Have a happy life Rocky and a big thnks to all the Jean’s in this world that take care of all these little creatures..

This past week Marta started her first full day of Kindergarten. For my out of area readers this is the 1st year of school, a step up from pre school. It is for ages 5 and up. You must turn 5 by the end of the year.
We have been getting ready for this moment for some time now. The first few days Marta was so happy and jumped out of bed with glee.
This is her first full week and the glee seems to have subsided a bit.
We have had very little TV on most of the summer but now when Marta gets home she wants to plop herself in front of the “tube”. We are adjusting to this but today we got into a battle over what shirt matched her pink capri pants. It wasn’t a pretty moment. Tonight we are going to pick out the clothes before bed and there will be no wardrobe changes in the AM.
